Research questions

  • What civic-tech initiatives are active across MENA?
  • What organizational and funding models support them?
  • What are the primary barriers to sustainability and scale?

Methodology

Desk research combined with semi-structured interviews across more than forty initiatives, triangulated against the MENACivicTech Dashboard.

Preliminary findings

  • Cross-border collaboration remains under-developed.
  • Digital-security capacity is uneven across organizations.
